Gender-based Violence Policy
Gender based violence (GBV) in the workplace refers to actions of violence and harassment directed at an individual due to their sex or gender, including sexual harassment. Anyone across the gender spectrum can be victims, or perpetrators, of gender based violence. It is important for organizations to have a strong set of policies in place to both prevent GBV from occurring as well as effectively respond to incidents that do arise.
The following organizations have strong GBV policies which can be used as templates and examples in the creation of your own policy.
