Statistically, we know that women are less likely to negotiate their salaries than men. In fact, according to the Society for Human Resource Management, in 2018, 68 percent of men and 45 percent of women negotiated their salaries while 70 percent of the managers they surveyed expected candidates to negotiate (Study: Women Negotiate Pay When Given the Chance).
